Motherhood

I used Prismacolor Color Pencils on 20"x26" paper. This series is about the reflection of me becoming a new mom and Jenny Saville, Mary Cassatt, and Christina Troufa inspired this work because their mother/ child connection in their art pieces. I used Christina Troufa style of selecting values in which creates positive and negative spaces. I used scale increment of fetus and my greate-greate grandmothers ring. The hues that I have chosen creates calmness.
